Reserve Shelter or Field
Park shelters can be used without a reservation, but paid reservations take precedence. If it absolutely must be available for your event you'll want to reserve online or contact the Parks Office, 865 Tutuilla Road, 541-276-8100.
If you are planning a park wedding, parks are open to all as public spaces. However, we recommend that you consider reserving the nearest shelter to ensure privacy during your ceremony.
All parks shelters can be reserved using our online registration system.
- Available from 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
- Shelters: $29 for the first two hours ($17 rental fee + $6/hour + 2 hour minimum = $29) and $6 for each additional hour.
- Additional picnic tables (up to four tables max and must be included and paid for with your reservation): $30
- Park Bag (free with shelter reservation), includes volleyball, net, horseshoes, and more: $6
- Metal Detecting Permit: Now free, but you must go to the Parks Office to fill out the necessary form.
Park Shelter Cancellation Policy
If cancellation notice is received 7 or more calendar days before the reservation date, a full refund will be given. If cancellation notice is given less than 7 calendar days before the event, your payment will be applied toward a future park shelter reservation within the same calendar year.
Alcohol Restrictions and Amplified Sound
Alcohol in Parks: Consumption of alcoholic beverages in public spaces and city parks is prohibited unless approved by the Police Chief. If you will be providing alcohol, a completed and notarized City of Pendleton Hold Harmless affidavit must be provided, along with proof of $100,000 liability insurance with an alcohol rider naming the City of Pendleton as co-insured. Your completed application will be forwarded to the Police Chief for review. Reservation is tentative until all documents have been provided.
Use of PA System in Parks: If your event will use a public address system or amplified music, a written request must be approved by the City Manager. You can obtain a copy of that form from the Parks Office.

Sports Field Reservation Policy for League Games and Tournaments
Beginning September 1, 2012 the Parks and Recreation Department will be taking reservations for designated fields for GAMES and TOURNAMENTS ONLY.
Use of fields for practices will continue to be on a first come,-first served basis and are to be worked out among leagues and coaches. Parks and Recreation programming has first priority.
Reservation cards will be placed at the fields to indicate if a reservation exists.
Fields are first come, first served unless fees are paid for sole use.
- Practice Time (reserved for sole use): $30 for 2 hours
- Youth Tournaments (when an entry fee is charged): $12 per field, per day
- Adult Tournaments (when an entry fee is charged): $58 per field, per day
Fees do not include the use of lights; lights are only available for tournaments/events where both fields are rented.

- Softball fields are maintained May – September.
- Soccer fields are maintained April – November by soccer groups.

Several parks have flat, open green space that not necessarily designated as a sports field but can be useful for practice space or general fun!

It's like having a party in your own backyard but there are giant pools all around you! To make reservations prior to pool opening call 541-276-8100. After pool opens, call 541-276-0104 or use our convenient online reservation system.
Add one hour of private rental time to any of the shelters, contiguous with normal pool hours for a fee of $170.
The blue shelter is the largest of the three shelters and is the one to choose for accessibility from the pool deck. It is also closest to the leisure pool. Your rental includes 4 tables and a gas BBQ. If you need additional tables, it must be included in your reservation request. Additional charges apply.
- Fee: $46 for 2 hours, plus $14 each additional hour; admission not included.
Yellow Shelter and Green Shelter
The yellow shelter is the middle shelter and the green shelter is the furthest east but both are lined up along the 50 meter pool. They are identical in size. Included in your rental are 2 tables and a gas BBQ. If you need additional tables, it must be included in your reservation request. Additional charges apply.
- Fee: $35 for 2 hours plus $14 each additional hour; admission not included.
Cancellation Policy: Reservation must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund. Weather closures may also apply.

On Deck Birthday Bash
Want to have too much fun? Schedule your birthday party at the Pendleton Family Aquatic Center. Just show up, take off your shoes, and RELAX!
Beach Party - $75
Include Aquatic Center admission for the birthday celebrity, ten birthday friends, and two adults. We'll reserve a shelter for two hours and all of your friends get an ice cream treat. Want to invite additional friends? No problem - additional guests are $5.50 each. After two hours everyone is still invited to stay at the facility and use our deck furnishings, slides, volleyball, and unlimited sun!
Tidal Wave - $125
Includes everything in the Beach Party (above) PLUS each guest gets hot dog, chip, and small beverage lunch with their ice cream. Each additional guest for the Tidal Wave is $7.00.
