Summer is fast approaching and we know you are eager to cool off with us, so please bear with us as we wait to see what phase two and phase three reopening guidelines entail. Thank you all for your patience and support.
Get Involved: Here are some ideas!
There are many ways to get involved with Pendleton Parks and Recreation!
Adopt A Park or Adopt A Parkway
Find more information about this program by clicking on the Parks menu above.
Sponsor An Event!
We have many wonderful events and programs with excellent opportunities for sponsors to be recognized in the community. More details can be found using the menu button to the left.
Volunteer Your Time
We couldn't manage many of our events without help from our community and those who are so generous with their time. And it's fun for the volunteers too!
Teach A Class
We are always interested in new recreation program opportunities for our community. Would you like to lead/instruct a program for Parks and Recreation? We publish three brochures each year. Contact Josh Nollmeyer (541) 966-0228 with questions or proposals. Approximate dates and deadlines for submission of program ideas:

Not interested in a big splashy event but would still like to help? We have a recreation scholarship fund to assist low income families to participate in Parks and Recreation programs. We do our best to keep costs low but any amount can be a barrier for some. Your donation could help a child discover a talent for gymnastics or learn to swim. No gift is too small.
Plant A Tree
Haven't heard about our Plant 2000 Trees Initiative? We also need help with purchasing giveaway seedlings on Arbor Day. We partner with Umatilla National Forest every April to give away tree seedlings and support planting more trees in our community. For more information about trees in Pendleton, check out our Trees page.
