Community Park East -- Address: 1000 SW 37th Street

The East side of Community Park features a paved, off-street parking lot, a walking trail, two reservalbe shelters, a playground, volleyball standards (by McKay Shelter), access to McKay Creek, and more! It is a popular location for all sorts of outdoor activities including some PPR favorites such as Movies in the Park during July and August.

East Side Amenities:

  • Restroom: ADA accessible restrooms available; located near the Rotary Shelter at 37th Street parking lot
  • Drinking Fountain: Yes
  • Parking: Off-street parking
  • Wheelchair charging station at the Rotary Shelter

East Side Features: 

  • 1/2 mile of walking trail that connects to the West Side trail
  • Disc Golf Course (front 9 holes) - Maps
  • Large grassy area
  • McKay Creek Bridge
  • Play equipment, slides, and swings
  • Tennis Courts
  • Two reservable shelters (see below)

Trail Information: This easy, flat, 3' wide asphalt trail circles the perimeter of the east and west sides of the park. The two 1/2 mile loops are connected by a pedestrian bridge that is moderately sloped. Both loops are now ADA compliant with accessible entry points whether entering the trail from the east or the west side.

Community Park Trail

Community Park West -- Address: 1200 SW 44th Street

The West Side of Community Park features a large parking lot, softball fields, soccer fields, restrooms, the dinosaur playground, and vending machines. A paved walking trail loops around the entire west side of the park and connects with a similar loop on the east side.
