A Little Help is Always Appreciated!
There are many ways to get involved with Pendleton Parks and Recreation, from sponsoring events, donating to scholarship funds, planting trees, or teaching a class. Here are just a few ideas and we’d be happy to listen to yours!
Sponsorship Opportunities
Increase your market exposure and help us continue to bring quality programs and events to our community. We have a variety of opportunities to choose from and each of them will align you with doing something positive for kids and/or the community. Contact Lisa Patrick, Recreation Supervisor, 541-966-0212, if you would like to explore working with us.

Daddy Daughter Date Night

2009 marks the fifth year that Parks and Recreation has held the Pendleton Daddy Daughter Dance. The community has truly embraced this occasion with 441 participants in 2008. The growth has been so phenomenal that we have had to add a second photographer! From brokers to bikers, they cast their image and inhibition aside to dance the Hokey-Pokey and the YMCA with their daughters.
We believe the Daddy Daughter Dance offers an excellent value to sponsors as there are several levels of benefits to choose from, and all offer excellent name exposure to the Pendleton community. You have the opportunity to be associated with a truly heartwarming activity and your sponsorship helps keep costs as affordable as possible to as many as possible.
Thank you to our 2009 sponsors!

Tunes Under The Trees
Last year Pendleton Parks and Recreation held two summer concerts to learn about community support for this kind of event. This year we are expanding to three on successive Thursdays to try and set a pattern for the series. We found that Roy Raley Park's amphitheater provided an excellent venue with high visibility that helped bring people into the park.Align your business with this fun family event!
Thank you to our first sponsor in 2009 - St. Anthony Hospital!
Recreation Scholarships
Not interested in a big splashy event but would still like to help? We are building a recreation scholarship fund to assist low income families to participate in Parks and Recreation programs. We do our best to keep costs low but it’s still not reachable for many. Your donation could help a child discover a talent for gymnastics or learn to swim. No gift is too small.
Recreation Volunteers
We're always looking for program instructors who have special talents to share; our favorite instructors are our next door neighbors.
Volunteers are also needed for special events, such as the Halloween Carnival. Your group could sponsor a carnival booth during this event, which could mean anything from just providing staffing or if you're feeling really creative, invent an activity. We also look for creative ways to partner with businesses, allowing us to utilize special talents while the business gains valuable promotion.
Volunteers do not necessarily need to lead an activity; they can support an instructor/coach, chaperone a dance, or help with special events.
